Website development
agency for UK businesses.

We design and build WordPress, Shopify and Drupal websites for UK companies, with UK GDPR, cookie consent and accessibility built in from the first page. Fixed quotes, calls in your working day, and a website your team can update without us.

Why UK businesses work with us

One team,
from brief to launch.

Mused Agency is a website, CMS and CRM development agency founded in Lahore in 2021. We work with businesses in the UK, the USA, the UAE, Canada and Pakistan, and every project is handled by the same small team from the first call to launch day.

  • A fixed quote before we start. You get a written scope and a fixed price after a short brief, so there are no hourly surprises.
  • Built to UK rules. Cookie consent, privacy information, secure forms and accessibility are part of the build, not extras bolted on before launch.
  • Editing stays with you. Every heading, image, page section and project is editable in the CMS, and we train your team before handover.
  • You own everything. The code, content, design files, hosting and domain are yours, in accounts in your name.
  • Support after launch. Updates, backups, fixes and new pages when you need them.

We build on WordPress for content-led business websites, Shopify for online stores and Drupal for complex, multilingual content, and we connect websites to your CRM. If your designer has already finished the design, we build it from your Figma files.

Website costs in the UK

What a website
costs in the UK.

Published 2026 price ranges from UK agencies and guides give a fair picture of the market. These are planning figures, not our prices, and they exclude VAT.

Type of website Typical UK cost
Small site from a freelancer £1,000–£6,000
Small business site from an agency £2,500–£10,000 (London agencies often £6,000–£20,000)
Online store £10,000–£25,000, more for complex catalogues
Maintenance and support £500–£3,000 per year

What moves the price is the number of unique page layouts, custom design or an existing template, the platform, integrations with your CRM or payment provider, and how much content needs writing. We quote a fixed price once we understand those, and the quote lists what is included so you can compare it with others.

UK GDPR, cookies and accessibility

UK rules,
built in.

UK websites answer to UK GDPR, the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and the Equality Act 2010, and the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025 changed parts of all three in 2026. This is how we handle them on the websites we build.

  • Cookies and consent. We list every cookie and tag before launch. Advertising and retargeting tags wait for consent, and rejecting is as easy as accepting. Since 5 February 2026, analytics used only to improve your website and preference cookies can run without consent if visitors are told and can object, and we set them up that way where it fits.
  • Forms and privacy information. Forms ask only for what you need, run over HTTPS with spam protection, and link to your privacy notice. Marketing sign-up is a separate, unticked box. We give you a plain list of the tools the site uses and what each collects, so your privacy notice can match it.
  • Complaints route. Since 19 June 2026, people can complain to you directly about how you use their data. We make sure your website gives them an easy way to do it.
  • Accessibility. We build to WCAG 2.2 level AA: keyboard navigation, readable contrast, labelled forms, alt text and support for reduced motion. That is the benchmark most UK organisations use to meet the Equality Act 2010, and it matters if you sell to EU customers under the European Accessibility Act.
  • Your data with us. We are based in Pakistan, which has no UK adequacy regulations. When our work gives us access to personal data, such as form entries or orders, we work under a written data processing agreement with the transfer safeguard your adviser chooses, such as the ICO’s International Data Transfer Agreement.

We build the technical side; the wording of your policies stays with you and your adviser. Our guide What a UK business needs on its website for UK GDPR and cookies explains the rules in more detail.

Working hours and process

How we work
with UK teams.

Lahore is five hours ahead of the UK in winter and four hours ahead during British Summer Time, so your morning is our afternoon. We book calls in your working day, and the work you sign off in the afternoon is often moving by the time you start the next morning.

  • Brief. A video call about your business, customers and goals, followed by written questions.
  • Scope and fixed quote. Pages, features, integrations, timeline and price, in writing.
  • Design. Page designs in Figma, or we work from your designer’s files.
  • Build and review. We build on a private staging site you can open at any time and comment on.
  • Launch and handover. Testing on phones, tablets and desktops, redirects from your old URLs, and training for your team.
  • Support. Updates, backups and changes once the site is live.

A small business website usually takes four to eight weeks from brief to launch. Online stores and CRM-connected websites take longer.

Questions UK clients ask.

If yours is not here, send us a message.

  • Do you work with businesses across the UK?

Yes. We work remotely with businesses in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Our UK work includes a website for Insightful Reach, a digital marketing agency in Manchester.

  • How much does a website cost?

Published 2026 UK ranges put a small business website from an agency at £2,500 to £10,000 and an online store at £10,000 to £25,000. We give you a fixed quote after a short brief, with everything that is included written down.

  • Do you charge UK VAT?

We are not registered for UK VAT, so our invoices do not include it. If your business is VAT registered, the reverse charge usually applies to services bought from abroad. Your accountant can confirm how it works for you.

  • Can you work during UK office hours?

Yes. Lahore is four or five hours ahead of the UK depending on the time of year, so we book calls in your working day.

  • Will my website meet UK GDPR and cookie rules?

We build the technical side to the current rules: consent for advertising cookies, analytics set up for the 2026 exceptions where it fits, secure forms and a clear route for requests and complaints. Your privacy notice and policies are yours to approve, ideally with your own adviser.

  • Which platform should we choose?

WordPress suits most content-led business websites, Shopify is usually the quickest route to a reliable online store, and Drupal fits complex, multilingual content. Our article WordPress vs Shopify compares the two most common choices.

  • Can you take over or rebuild our existing website?

Yes. We maintain, improve and migrate existing websites, and when we rebuild one we redirect the old URLs so you keep your search rankings.

  • Who owns the website when it is finished?

You do. The code, design files and content are yours, and the hosting and domain accounts are in your name.
