Caribbean Opus
A multilingual Drupal 11 job board for the Caribbean, with vacancy search by island and city, employer listings and salary tools.
The project
A Caribbean job board, built on Drupal 11.
- Vacancy search by keyword, island and city
- Accounts for job seekers and employers
- Salary calculator and Salary Compass tools
- English, Spanish, French and Dutch versions
- Career advice and news section
The brief
Caribbean Opus connects job seekers and employers across the Caribbean islands. The platform needed to handle structured job data, two kinds of users and several languages, and it had to stay simple for people searching on a phone.
What we built
We built the platform on Drupal 11, using structured content types for vacancies, employers and articles so every listing follows the same format and can be filtered reliably.
- Job search: keyword search combined with island and city filters, right in the hero, so visitors can start searching straight away.
- Two user journeys: job seekers create a free profile, upload a CV and apply in one click; employers register and post vacancies that go live immediately.
- Salary tools: a salary calculator and a Salary Compass that compares pay across islands and sectors.
- Multilingual: English, Spanish, French and Dutch versions for a region where all four are spoken.
- Content hub: career advice and news articles that give visitors a reason to return and help the site rank for career topics.
Why Drupal
Drupal handles structured data, user roles and translations out of the box. That made it a better fit than a page-based CMS for a site where most pages are generated from listings, and it gives the platform room to grow as more islands and employers join.
